What to Expect For Your Elite IQ™ Treatment

Prior to your appointment, the area that will be treated needs to be clean shaven.

During the procedure, the Skintel® melanin reader will be used to measure the skin of the treatment area and adjust the settings accordingly. The provider will then guide a medical-grade laser handpiece over this area, emitting beams of laser energy which targets the root of each individual hair follicle and convert it into heat, thus disabling it from further growth.

The same process will occur when using the laser for skin revitalization, or skin concerns.

You may experience a mild pinching sensation during this process, however this should not cause any discomfort. Depending on your skin and hair type as well as the size of the treatment area you are having treated, you may need multiple sessions for optimal results.

After each session, there may be some redness or swelling in the affected areas; however these side effects will typically subside after 24 hours. Sun exposure should be avoided prior to and after each session in order to minimize side effects and maximize results.
